This Community of Practice brings together the private sector, government, academia and civil society to navigate the complexities of operating in Ukraine today.
We translate international standards – like the UN Guiding Principles on business and human rights and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises – and EU standards – like the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive – into practical solutions that protect people and communities, while enabling businesses to survive, grow, and attract investment.
Our goal is to create a trusted environment where professionals can exchange information freely. We aim to mainstream responsible business conduct not just as a legal obligation, but as a competitive advantage for Ukrainian companies entering global markets and for companies participating in reconstruction.
Our Activities
- Monthly Update Meetings
We meet once a month to provide a regular pulse check on the corporate sustainability environment. These sessions are dedicated to sharing quick updates, reviewing new tools, and exchanging information on the latest policy developments. These monthly meetings follow a «Bilingual Bridge» format: we host a morning session in Ukrainian and an afternoon session in English. You are welcome to join to one of them according to your language preference or both. Notes and insights are synchronised between the two groups to ensure a unified approach.
- Thematic Deep-Dive Sessions
In addition to our monthly updates, we convene specialised thematic meetings. These sessions allow for a deeper examination of specific, critical topics such as: “Heightened Human Rights Due Diligence: Operating responsibly in conflict affected areas”; “The EU CSDDD: Final text and practical implications for Ukrainian business”, Sectoral Guidance: OECD standards for specific industries (Agriculture, Energy, Tech), “The Compliance Nexus: Integrating Anti-Corruption and Human Rights Due Diligence”.
These meetings focus on problem-solving and technical guidance.
Knowledge Hub
We collect all relevant resources, legislative updates, and guidance tools at our central thematic platform: bhr.org.ua.
Relevant materials and information about the platform will be posted on the official website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine in the section “Activities of the National Contact Point of Ukraine for Responsible Business Conduct”.
